Today is Literary Modiin’s March event - at 19:00 Israel time / 1 pm Eastern! Register here for the Zoom. (Note to Israelis: this is an hour earlier than our usual time due to the clocks changing in the US but not yet in Israel).

We’ll be hearing about three very different books:

• The Watchmakers by Harry Lenga & Scott Lenga is a powerful World War II story of brotherhood, survival, and hope amid the Holocaust.

• The Promise of a Normal Life by Rebecca Kaiser Gibson is a poet’s debut novel, whose unnamed narrator is a fiercely observant, introverted Jewish-American girl who seems to exist in a private and separate realm.

• A Small Sacrifice for an Enormous Happiness by Jai Chakrabarti, a story collection, crosses continents and cultures to explore what it means to cultivate a family today, across borders, religions, and race.
