Join Literary Modiin for our October author event today
Dear friends,
Shavua tov/happy Sunday!
Today is Literary Modiin’s October event - at 20:00 Israel time / 1 pm Eastern / 12 pm Central etc. Register here for the Zoom.
We'll be hearing about three very different novels!
Sara Lippmann’s LECH deals with the potential sale of a property in the Catskills and takes on the predatory side of human nature through conflicts of faith, trauma, desire, belonging, and longing—the particulars of Judaism and feminism, parenting and partying, small-town life and big blundering dreams, as well as the timeless question: How to go forth in life? (The title taken from, you guessed it, my favorite parsha…Lech Lecha).
Martha Anne Toll’s THREE MUSES is at once a love story, a tale of Holocaust survival that ventures through memory, trauma, and identity, and an exploration of the unforgiving discipline of ballet.
Diana Bletter’s A REMARKABLE KINDNESS deals with four women who have come to a seaside village in Israel while a war is brewing. The women forge a friendship that sustains them as they come to terms with love and loss, and the outbreak of war.
Hope to see you there! Here's the link to register again: https://bit.ly/3vykRjE
Happy reading,
Julie
