Join Literary Modiin for two author events in May - today (virtual) and next week (in-person)
It's not too late to register!
Dear friends,
Shavua tov / happy Sunday! We’ve got two events coming up - one virtual (today!) and one in-person next week. If you’re in reasonable driving distance of Modiin I’d love to see you at both.
Today, May 22, is Literary Modiin’s May virtual event - at 20:00 Israel time / 1 pm Eastern / 12 pm Central etc. We'll be hearing from Rachel Barenbaum (Atomic Anna), Haviva Ner-David (Dreaming Against the Current) and Elan Barnehama (Escape Route). Register here for the Zoom.
Next Sunday, May 29, is our first in-person event in over two years, co-sponsored by ESRA Modiin. The reception starts at 19:00 and the program will begin at 19:30. We’ll be hearing from Sarah Ansbacher (Ayuni), Dina Elenbogen (Drawn From Water: An American Poet, An Ethiopian Family, an Israeli Story) and Gadi Bossin (If We Could See Forever). RSVP here (exact address to be provided upon registration).
As you may have seen, it’s been an exciting few weeks for Literary Modiin: Joshua Cohen (who appeared at our July 2021 event) won the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction for his novel The Netanyahus and Menachem Kaiser (who appeared at our May 2021 event) won the 2022 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature for his nonfiction book Plunder. Watch any or all of our past Literary Modiin events here!
Happy reading,
Julie
