In terms of books with humor, have you listened to The Ice Cream Queen of Orchard Street by Susan Jane Gilman? I really enjoyed it. Also loved Natasha and Other Stories by David Bezmozgis, which is not light-hearted but has very wry humor but it is not available in audio as far as I know. I'm sure you've already read The Netanyahus but if not, it's one with some (serious) good laughs.
