Writing, reading, and recipes + an update from day 208
that photo is amazing, as is the entire story. Look how beautiful your grandmother is! Thank you again for the shout-out! Much appreciated.
Thank you, Mary!! I've now started a different scene with a different prompt...I guess it's taking me about a month per scene :-)
who knows what I will find this time...?
Well, you know what they say. Bird by bird.
love that book....
Loving Midstory too. Shabbat shalom!
Wow, I teared up reading about your discovery of the photo and short film. Thank you, as always, for sharing. Wishing you the best.
Thanks so much, Heather. Hope you are well!
I loved this issue especially, Julie. Filled with so much that gives you joy, and us joy by extension. Thank you for sharing. And lucky folks who get to hear you in person.
Thanks, Merri! Focusing on the joy...not always easy these days...sending love!
The tall flowers in the picture are not gladioli, but are hollyhocks. Thanks for some lovely thoughts. Here are some of my own:
Philosophy of Change
Change brings pain—again and again.
Pain brings suffering—uttering, muttering
Suffering brings tolerance—with much endurance.
Tolerance brings thinking—and good ideas linking.
Thinking brings knowledge—saves going to college.
Knowledge brings understanding—sensibility expanding.
Understanding brings wisdom—and where it comes from.
And wisdom makes life bearable—happily declarable!
Oh shoot, you are right! I meant hollyhocks!!
